  The first live album that Dire Straits released is double album and named Alchemy: Dire Straits Live. For many people this album is known like one of the best albums. Album was recorded at the Hammersmith Odeon in London between 22 and 23 July on the final two concerts of Dire Straits at the eight-month Love Over Gold Tour where Dire Straits promoted their album Love Over Gold. .

  A Dire Straits live album, in this case the Alchemy concert from the then Hammersmith Odeon, now the Apollo. It's a brilliant piece of music like most of their music. This album precedes the Brothers in Arms album so don't expect Money for nothing, Walk of Life and Brothers in Arms. The best track is probably Sultans of Swing/5().

  Jul 02,  · I love Dire Straits. I thought Brothers In Arms as an album wasn't one of their best- though it has some great songs- the title track is amazing. Love Over Gold is a great album- not a bad song. My Favourite too Fizzwheel! Live wise- I have Alchemy, but think that though I like it, Mark's voice is particularly monotonous on it- like he.
