  I'm a big fan of the original Maiden Voyage album, so when I saw the Ramsey Lewis version in my father's vinyl collection, I gave it a spin. I like the second side a little more than I like the first side, which was drowned out by strings and vocals. Lewis is a good piano player, but the ubiquitous strings of the s ruined the first side for me.
