  There are just so many things you can do with these pictures. Try to keep the colors within the lines to improve your drawing and coloring skills. And if you want to make it a bit more exciting, paint outside the line and invent your own color combinations for your giraffe. Maybe you want a yellow-purple or pink-blue giraffe.

  My palette for the giraffe consists of burnt umber and cobalt blue for the dark shadow ‘spots’. I add a wash of flesh tint and burnt umber on them in the light areas. In between the spots I use flesh tint, a little cobalt blue and burnt umber and white, with more white in the sunlit areas.
