"Ready To Die" is a step up from "The Weirdness" which was pretty underwhelming. The material on this CD is better, the energy is pumping and the guitars sound huge! On top of blistering tracks like "Burn", "Job", "Gun" and "Ready To Die" the CD offers up two lovely ballads; "Unfriendly World" and "The Departed" (RIP Ron Asheton)/5(82).

Iggy and the Stooges – Ready To Die. CD / LP / DL. Out Now. Iggy Pop reunited with the Stooges in Feb of this year. They quickly set to & revorded an album. Ready To Die is that album & Louder Than War’s Andy Barding has been listening to us for us. Here’s his verdict. Bloody music critics, eh? Miserable bloody lot.

Apr 30,  · 's The Weirdness broke the protective glass on The Stooges' untouchable legacy as Godfathers of Punk. It proved that to keep rock 'n' roll a living ideal, illusions of perfectionism had to be shattered. There's no way for anyone—not even the men who created them—to match or surpass the three albums Iggy made with the various Stooges lineups in the '60s and '70s.
